The APCA Stakeholder Forum was first convened in 2011. It enables APCA to share information with stakeholders, enabling stakeholders to contribute to and provide feedback to APCA and to network with each other. The Stakeholder Forum replaces previous Advisory Councils for the cheque and direct entry systems.
The Forum is convened at least annually and attendance at the Stakeholder Forum is by invitation.
Mr Paul Lahiff was appointed as independent chair of the APCA Stakeholder Forum in mid-2013. Mr. Lahiff is a consultant and is also Chairman of Smartline Personal Mortgage Advisers and LIXI. He is a non-executive director of ASX-listed Thorn Group Australia, and the Cancer Council NSW. He has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry including most recently as Managing Director of Mortgage Choice. Mr. Lahiff holds a BSc from Sydney University and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
